Utility & Pipeline Trenching Equipment, Rentals & Field Repair

Your crew lays the pipe. We supply and repair the machines that open the trench ahead of it and backfill the line behind it. Send the trench depth, the room inside the right-of-way, and the footage the schedule calls for each day. Our sales team recommends the machines for that line, either to buy or to rent by the month.

What to Tell Us About the Trench & the Right-of-Way

Our sales team sizes the excavator, its tail swing, and the support machines for your line from the four details below. The room inside a lane closure or an easement often decides whether the job needs a reduced-tail-swing excavator.

Trench
Tell us the trench depth and width and the material, such as native soil, caliche, or rock. Tell us also whether the spoil is stockpiled beside the trench or hauled off.
Right-of-way
Tell us how the machine reaches the line and how much room it has inside the lane closure or easement. Name the overhead power lines and buried utilities it has to work around.
Pipe & material
Tell us the pipe, structures, and bedding material the machine has to lift and place, and the heaviest pick on the job. Name any attachments the job specifies, such as a compaction wheel.
Phasing
Tell us when each phase starts, from trenching through backfill and restoration, and how many months you need each machine.

We Lifted Sewer Pumps Into Place With the Crane Truck Already on Site

Our crew and one of our crane trucks were already working on a customer’s new construction site when the customer needed sewer pumps lifted into place. We set the pumps with the truck’s crane. Lifting pumps is not a service we sell or go looking for. When our crew and equipment are already on your site and can solve the problem in front of you, we solve it. That customer still works with us today.

Utility & Pipeline Equipment Questions

Ask a Question About Your JobThe request form sends your question to the DBM team that handles that kind of work, and that team calls or texts you back. A question sent after hours is answered the next day.

No. Your crew installs the pipe, and your engineer designs the trench and its shoring. We supply and repair the machines that do the digging. Our crew lifted the sewer pumps in our case study because our crane truck was already working on that site. We do not sell crane services.

Yes. Give our sales team the trench depth, the material, the heaviest pipe or structure the machine has to place, the site access, and the schedule. We recommend the machine and the attachments for it.

We rent to contractors, not homeowners. Most rentals run by the month, and some large machines carry a three-month minimum. Our rental team confirms the machine, the delivery date, and the term before it holds a machine for your job.

We send a service truck to fix it. If we cannot fix it the same day, we prorate your rent so you do not pay for the days the machine sat broken down on your job.

Yes. QuickFi, XCMG’s lender, finances new XCMG machines, with 0% financing available on approved credit. You can apply for XCMG financing on QuickFi’s website. If you are buying a used machine or another brand, call us at (775) 625-0062, because we work with other lenders on those purchases.
