Excavator Sales, Rentals & Field Repair for Excavation Contractors

Our sales team sizes an excavator from the dig depth, the reach, and the material. Then it quotes you a new XCMG excavator, a used excavator of any make, or a monthly rental. Our new XCMG models run from the XE18U mini excavator up to full-size production machines. When an excavator you own breaks down on the job, a service truck repairs it there, whatever its make.

How We Size an Excavator to Your Dig

You do not need the size class before you call. If you already know the machine you want, such as an 18-inch bucket on a 22-ton excavator, tell us that. If you do not, our sales team works out the size class, the reach, and the bucket from your answers to the four questions below.

  • What Are You Digging?

Tell us the material, such as sandy soil, clay, caliche, or blasted rock. Tell us also whether the machine cuts trench, digs out a basement or a pond, or loads trucks.

  • Where Will It Work?

Tell us how the machine gets onto the site and how much clearance it has under power lines and structures. The room it has to swing tells us whether the job needs a reduced-tail-swing machine.

  • How Deep and How Far Does It Have to Reach?

Tell us the trench or excavation depth and how far the machine has to reach from where it sits. Tell us also how high it has to dump to clear the side of a haul truck.

  • What Else Will It Do?

Tell us the attachments it has to run, such as a hydraulic hammer, a thumb, or a compaction wheel. Tell us also the jobs you will give it after this one.

Will the Excavator Still Fit Your Work After This Job?

A buyer came to us for a mini excavator to put in a couple of utility lines and dig a pit. Our sales team asked what the machine would do after that job. The rest of his work called for a compact utility tractor, which we do not sell. We advised him not to buy the excavator and gave him the name and phone number of someone we know who sells compact utility tractors.

We ask about the work after this contract because you will make payments on the excavator and put hours on it long after the first dig is backfilled. Its size class has to fit the jobs your company bids most.

Excavator Questions

Ask a Question About Your JobThe request form sends your question to the DBM team that handles that kind of work, and that team calls or texts you back. A question sent after hours is answered the next day.

No. Your crew does the digging, the shoring, and the backfill. We supply and repair the excavators your crew runs.

We rent to contractors, not homeowners. Send our rental team the size class, the job location, and the start date. We hold a machine for your job once we have confirmed the machine and the dates with you.

A technician usually reaches your machine the day after you call, and sometimes the same day. Our service trucks work anywhere in Nevada and in California from Sacramento to Bakersfield, including Bishop and Mammoth Lakes. Our service team calls you with the problem, the parts cost, and the lead time before it orders anything.

Yes. We can drop off an XCMG machine at no charge so your crew can run it on your own work. If it suits the work, you can rent it or buy it.

Yes. QuickFi, XCMG’s lender, finances new XCMG machines, with 0% financing available on approved credit. You can apply for XCMG financing on QuickFi’s website. If you are buying a used excavator or another brand, call us, because we work with other lenders on those purchases.
